This was the perfect waterproof (as opposed to waterproof) jacket for traveling around Ireland during the summer months. It looked good and kept water out which is important because it rains intermittently in Ireland and sometimes the rain is very horizontal which we haven't seen here on the west coast. Even if you don't have that jacket, don't just carry a waterproof jacket to Ireland because the rain will find a way to get wet underneath. This jacket was lightweight and easy to move around while climbing and fold into a pocket when not needed. Not sure if it's meant for packing, but most lightweight jackets will fit in the pockets anyway.
