Review on πŸŽ™οΈ SYNCO-Mic-D2 XLR Shotgun Microphone - Professional Hyper Cardioid Directional Condenser Mic for Camcorders, Boom Poles, and Tripods - Ideal for Video Audio Recording by Bryan Gallardo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent value for money

This directional microphone offers excellent value for money in every respect. Robust construction and great sound. It's a well-constructed, almost industrial feel, but reassuring. Like you can throw him off a cliff and you'll be fine. Thin slits make you wonder how sound waves get there, but they are there. It is strange. The Synco Mic-D2 has a hypercardioid design, making it slightly more focused than the Audio Technica (at least in theory). The mic sounds great at 6 inches for voice overwork. At 12-18 inches - the standard spacing for a shotgun - this is a very good boom mic. And at distances over 18 inches, I'd say it performs pretty well overall. The bottom part fades a bit quickly for my liking, but it's nothing that can't be recovered in post. Sound Speeds checks the distance at around 10 feet, but honestly you should switch to lava at around five. want to upgrade... you want to know how to get the most out of it. But if you're just starting out with audio gaming, if you have a mic designed to fit your camera that you used on a gallows, or if you have a cheaper gun mic... Do it. Synco is worth the investment. And if you're thinking about investing in a Sennheiser MKH 416, you might want to think again. And I don't say that lightly. If you want great quality but nobody expects you to show up on set with the 416, Synco can meet your needs.
