Must have been a bad batch

I have to admit that after watching many YouTube reviews my expectations were pretty high. Most advertised it as the Sennheiser 416 killer (which I own). Well the one I got sounded worse than my old dynamic mic. The batch must have had quality control issues.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Only available in black

The windscreen isn't very effective, but the mic is good

If you use it in any wind, don't rely on the windscreen that comes with the mic. Our entire sound during our wedding ceremony was ruined by the wind. I used the mic to record my guitar indoors with no wind and it was fantastic. So, in such conditions, there are no complaints about the sound quality. Just be prepared if you intend to use it outdoors or in places where wind is possible.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Factor adjusted

Should have matched Sennheiser 416. NO!

I read reviews and watched videos on YouTube and all the influencers were convinced that this is a great site for my Sennheiser 416. I needed a mic that I can travel with and that sounds great, so I gave it a try. I liked the price, the looks, the packaging, but when I connected it to my interface, everything was not high-end. It sounded muddy, thick. Nevertheless, I sent it back and will continue to use 416.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some little things

Excellent sound quality

Updates with my open box and test video. I saw this mic on a youtube channel and bought it because of the great sound quality. Basically I use this mic with a BMPCC6k that supports 48V power supply and has good sound for interviews and I have great sound. The microphone does not require a battery, so it never runs out of power. The hard case protects the microphone well and is easy to carry. It is constructed with metal. I really like this mic!

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it promises

Probably the best at this price

This mic is well built, with a full range of accessories and a sturdy carrying case. So if you have your gear, an XLR input and phantom power, it's safe and easy to take everything you need with you and start recording quality. The sound quality itself is very good, it can pick up the full spectrum of sounds clearly. The directional design works really well, you can get the loudest volume and clearest sound where the mic is while all other directions are muted. It's really hard to find a better

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Compatibility

Qualified 4 out of 5

Microphone works well. However, I don't know if the performance compared to the Samson C02 Condenser Pencil Microphone is good enough for indoor voice recording to be worth the extra cost (https://www.amazon.com/Samson-C02PR-Pencil-Condenser-Microphones /dp /B0002D0KBE). /ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=samson+pencil+mic&qid=1603417001&sr=8-3) I was intrigued by the numerous online reviews of the Synco D2 compared to the Senheiser MKH 416. Looking back, there seems to be so many reviews for this…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Neutral

Good price for a competitive microphone

Synco Mic D2 is a cheaper alternative to mid-range professional microphones. Microphone with screw gun. The included cable is fairly small and really only usable if you're using it on a desk, although if it's a gun mic you'll want that. The included mount is also quite narrow and difficult to attach a mic to, works in a pinch but a shock absorbing mount should be used if possible. The specs are pretty good for the price, but they're not perfect. It seems to me that this was designed to be used…

Pros
  • Solid brass body, high noise immunity
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Skip 416 and get this.

Much better than it should be for the price! I first heard about this mic from Booth Janky and was surprised by his review. He compared it to the MKH 416 and said it was almost as good and didn't see any difference. Well, when I do the same comparison, I don't see any difference either! If you really isolate, control all the variables and listen in the perfect environment then you can definitely hear the difference and the 416 sounds better. But there are so many other factors making it…

Pros
  • Hypercardioid polar pattern
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Excellent value for money

This directional microphone offers excellent value for money in every respect. Robust construction and great sound. It's a well-constructed, almost industrial feel, but reassuring. Like you can throw him off a cliff and you'll be fine. Thin slits make you wonder how sound waves get there, but they are there. It is strange. The Synco Mic-D2 has a hypercardioid design, making it slightly more focused than the Audio Technica (at least in theory). The mic sounds great at 6 inches for voice…

Pros
  • Gold-plated XLRM connector
Cons
  • Long delivery time
