Microphone works well. However, I don't know if the performance compared to the Samson C02 Condenser Pencil Microphone is good enough for indoor voice recording to be worth the extra cost (https://www.amazon.com/Samson-C02PR-Pencil-Condenser-Microphones /dp /B0002D0KBE). /ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=samson+pencil+mic&qid=1603417001&sr=8-3) I was intrigued by the numerous online reviews of the Synco D2 compared to the Senheiser MKH 416. Looking back, there seems to be so many reviews for this one Microphone, if you compare it to this Senheiser MKH 416 it's obviously a snowball effect. Between the $50 Samson pencil mic and the Synco D2, I find the Synco has a slightly warmer tone. I don't see a better rejection of custom circuitry, noise floor, or preamp requirements. It's a good mic, I can't rate its performance for boom mics, outdoor use, etc. But I can say it doesn't improve my indoor vocal recordings enough to keep. I will return it and continue with Samson.
