I first soldered a 1157 tail light bulb to wires when I was 5 years old. Since then, a 50-year career in consumer electronics and crafts has passed. I bought the slim version of this product because it is easier to use with smaller components. The product works, does not stick together, does not require high temperatures to melt and leaves no mess. It was a pleasant purchase.
