I think you can save something here. One option is to search Youtube for instructions on how to disassemble your old controller, remove the innards and keys, and then put the original parts in the new case. But then why do I need all the new parts? Another possibility that appears from the description is that I could program the remote myself after cutting the key to locally match the old key. But there are no instructions. If you go to the website and find a programming guide, you will get a message that no guide was found (see image). My old remote doesn't break easily. And I have watchmaking tools. That doesn't mean it's impossible. But in my opinion, this is not what the average buyer wants to do. I return mine.
