Just realized I've had them since January. It's July now. I have them at my little shop, drive a 2x4 to hold a can. I have 120 volt fluorescent lights but 2 of these strips run the length of the shed and are bright enough that I don't need fluorescent lights. I connected them together, added the old speaker wire and a set of alligator clips. I connect the Gator clips to the battery in my 12 volt system. I connected several old car batteries together and a few different 12 volt light bulbs inside and out. I also run a stereo on them. Lightning is pretty bad here in Florida and regular home receivers get fried easily. Strike next to the house and its toast. I had some old car stereos laying around and batteries, then I kept adding amps and speakers all the time. At the moment I have a Pioneer Bluetooth head unit, Memphis, Rockford Fosgate and an MTX amp with 5 different batteries connected together. There are 6 capacitors in the mix ranging from 0.5 farads to a whopping 20 farads. I have speakers everywhere. Finally over 100. From 15" to 1" tweeter. It can be very noisy. But it doesn't have to be loud to listen to the radio. If you have a speaker anywhere near you, it even works with multiple fans. and 2 workshop compressors. I live in a slum so it's nice to work at night on various welding jobs with the radio on and the LEDs on. Once I tried to live in the city, an expensive mistake. People are too demanding. I like to do what I want, when I want. Smoking a whistle at 1:00 a.m. seems to bring out people's stupid side. You burn the battery yourself. I included a 6 position switch with a 3 amp fuse for the LEDs on the f/m. I wrapped a couple of these on each switch. They are 24/7 with no much work, just screwing on the rafters. Has been working since January. Finally I connected 2 chargers to the system. One old style that came in junk, another was a Father's Day gift, one of the 'smart chargers' is junk. Will not charge a discharged battery, turns off after 10 hours. I've never understood why these new chargers won't charge a completely dead battery. Anyone who knows these light strips are great, are very bright, have negligible power consumption and minimal heat generation.
