SUPERNIGHT (TM) 16 Review

"Cool white" LEDs are WAY too blue/purple (see 1st photo). They are a little less purple than the picture depending on the time of day, but they are really very blue/purple. They're amazingly bright, but the color temperature hurts the eyes. If you don't mind the blue-violet color temperature, then they're great! Very bright! Connected to a 12V switching power supply and was happy with the light output. But the cables, including the 5.5mm x 2.1mm connector, got very hot after 10-15 minutes. I didn't do a test to see if they would melt. This is not a tragedy to me as I intend to cut it into shorter sections that use less energy than a long string. Just realized I've had them since January. It's July now. I have them at my little shop, drive a 2x4 to hold a can. I have 120 volt fluorescent lights but 2 of these strips run the length of the shed and are bright enough that I don't need fluorescent lights. I connected them together, added the old speaker wire and a set of alligator clips. I connect the Gator clips to the battery in my 12 volt system.
