Great dog door.: Doors

When we bought the house a few years ago it already had dog doors installed. To go outside, the dog must go through one dog door from the entrance to the garage, and through the second dog door from the garage onto the street. The first dog door was a flimsy, single leaf, small door that blasted through the front of our house and down the stairs. Essentially, we threw out our heat. Not to mention our lab mix never made it, especially after gaining weight over the last few years. In the end we decided to treat ourselves and buy a new door, but after a year of shopping we found this one. Installation took less than an hour, including removing the door and cutting a larger hole. We really like that it seals the entire door, not just the bottom like most do. This is a good size for our dog who, as I said, is a lab mix weighing around 60-70 pounds. It only took him a few tries to get comfortable. Even though it's only October here in cold Wyoming, we've still had a few snowstorms, and in the three weeks we've had I've noticed significant temperature differences in the areas mentioned above. The only thing I noticed is that if my dog walks out the door in a certain direction, there might be a "buckle" on one of the folds. It doesn't happen often and all I have to do is push the door and drop it to fix it. Definitely a nicer door that's $30-$100 cheaper than other not-so-good doors.
