Out of the 100 I've bought about 10% are bent in such a way that the head wobbles a bit and requires more torque. If you have an impact wrench, they're probably fine. They can easily be checked by rolling them on a flat surface (or simply substituting curved ones), but this takes extra time. For screwing into studs, consider shorter screws. Maybe 1.5 or 1.75 inches depending on the thickness of the drywall. Electrical codes state that the metal plate is not needed if the hole in the electrical wiring rack is at least 1.5 inches from the front of the rack. They are also easier to screw in. 2.5" #14 screws end up requiring a lot of torque, even with the right pilot hole - more than some lower-end electric screwdrivers can do without multiple loosening/re-tightening in the process. This paragraph did not affect my evaluation of the product; The product is as described except for the 10% bent screws that I received.
