Various, but I like it. Its simple design, no timers or "reset" every time the power goes out, no clock, no brew timer. A simple ON/OFF button does it all. The coffee maker is well built, well thought out for those who just want to make coffee. A large button with an indicator light in Aqua Marine colour. This machine must be turned off manually. The brewing cycle is quick, for those who want to use a basket there is a paperless filter (which fits in the coffee filter holder). The heating plate heats up quickly immediately after turning on the machine. There are no water level indicators, except for those located inside the filling compartment. However, the pot has cup indicators and a comfortable handle. This particular model has stainless steel white dots. Stainless steel has fingerprints (although brushed metal) compared to foil/mirror finishes. Directly above the large display is the lid for pouring water, changing baskets and pouring coffee. (Front of the machine) When using for the first time, this tight top hole will loosen a little over time. A nice difference from many other coffee makers and a lot easier than most. I really like the changes. There are no automatic modes, no automatic shut-off, no automatic timed brewing. Just turn it on and don't forget to turn it off again later. Not a bad choice.
