My husband and I have had twin adjustable beds (which together make a king-size bed) for many years. (And it's really better to get two twins instead of one king, so you each can have the independent rising and lowering that you want.) This year our old frames finally stopped working so we looked online to order some new ones. We ordered two extra-long twin adjustable bed frames (kept our old mattresses) and they work wonderfully well. Both the head and feet work independently and it is very quiet. There is a remote control for each bed and it includes a vibrating massage feature. The head of the bed can rise very high so you are almost sitting straight up to read or watch TV. You can adjust the rise for head or feet to any amount from just a little to a lot. We would buy these again (although hopefully not have to for many years!) and I recommend these beds.
