Update (2) - 02/06/21: The Switch has been working for the last 5 months so I've returned 1 star. I had an issue with a blown microwave fuse while the microwave was running and the door was open to stop it. It turned out that the latch plate (the piece of plastic that holds the switches and engages the door hooks) was so worn that it was possible to pull on the door to open it, causing the normally closed switch to snap while the other 2 switches stayed on. . giving all 3 continuity for a moment. I replaced the latch. So now if someone tries to open the door before the cooking stops (or is paused/aborted), the normally closed switch will not open sooner and the fuse or circuit breaker will blow. This may have contributed to my original Switch failing over time. I would suggest checking this carefully when replacing switches. Update: The original normally closed replacement switch failed less than 24 hours after it was installed. The company was very responsive and issued a refund immediately upon contact. I reordered the switches and set a new one for 5 days of regular use - so far so good. Maybe it was just a bad example but I'll deduct 1 star until I see if it lasts longer. Again, I am very pleased with the seller's responsiveness in resolving the issue. First Review: I was able to fix my GE microwave which had a bad switch in the center of the monitor and kept blowing a dedicated 20 amp circuit breaker. The switches I received are the same Dongnan brand as the original switches. When ordering I already fixed the issue of knowing I need a normally closed switch but bought this kit with a normally open switch as it wasn't a lot of extra money and should be on hand if one of them does in the future should fail. It seems that some people who leave negative reviews don't understand that there are two different types of switches used on microwave oven doors and don't understand the meaning of normally open and normally closed switches. Microwave ovens have 2 normally open switches (top and bottom) and 1 normally closed switch (middle) which can be determined by looking to see if the connection at the end matches the NO or NC leads in the diagram on the switch. . You can also check with an ohmmeter that a normally open switch has no continuity when the button is not pressed and has continuity when the button is pressed. Normally closed switches are the opposite of having continuity when the button is not pressed and opening when it is pressed. When the microwave oven door is closed, the buttons on all 3 switches are pressed, so the top and bottom switches which are normally open have continuity, but the middle normally closed switch has no continuity. Opening the door does the opposite: the top and bottom are open with no continuity, while the middle is closed and has continuity. I knew my original normally closed switch was bad because there was continuity whether the door was open or closed. I don't agree with negative reviews if it's user error and unrelated to the product.
