I installed two exhaust fans (in parallel) in my attic to remove hot air. The bimetallic thermostat that comes with the fans from the factory left a lot to be desired. Often the fans would not turn off at a reasonable temperature. The on/off temperature window was so large that the fans sometimes ran all night even though the temperature in the attic was relatively cool. I can't imagine how much electricity that old fashioned thermostat wasted! The DIGITEN product was easy to install and set up. The instructions aren't the best, but I was able to figure out how to change C to F and set on/off toggle points in just 10 minutes. I have monitored the temperature in the attic and the product is working fine. It turns on at 85F and turns off at night when the temperature reaches 80F. The temperature can be set in decimal increments, but whole numbers are fine for my application.
