We put the box with the kittens on top so the dogs can't get to it, but that means sometimes litter ends up on the floor. I didn't need a full size broom for this area, but I did need a dedicated broom because I didn't like the idea of a garbage broom being used anywhere else in the house. I didn't want a plastic broom either, but something that would biodegrade as I sweep the day. This little broom is made like a weapon. It's very strong and seems to be just as strong as the full size corn brooms I've used before. It goes completely under the claw bucket and is just the right size to get into those hard-to-reach places. I only have two cons: 1) This broom seems to me to be 1/3 the size of a full broom, it should be a bit smaller. than half the cost but my goodness fast shipping and awkward shape so this is a pointless complaint. I literally can't find this item in my city, and 2) the only real complaint is that it has to have a pre-drilled hole in the handle so you can hang it. As this is a toddler toy I can understand why it didn't have a hole. Please get a version with a hole from the manufacturer, because this small broom is very practical for us adults. When in doubt, buy a broom. I really love this little thing.
