A few years ago I had my own experience with HP printers and vowed never to buy them again. But this was a gift for a friend and that's what he really wanted. I tried to adjust it but the cartridge lights kept flashing and the carriage would not mount where the ink cartridges could go. After waiting for this to stop (all night), I contacted HP support. After a few hours of email exchanges, they admitted it was bad at first. The next day they called and asked where they could send a refurbished replacement. Am I missing something here? A printer I've had for 36 hours and never run out of ink needs to be replaced with a refurbished one? Hey, when I think about it, what a great business model! Sell "new" products at the highest prices, knowing they won't work. Replace them with old used crap and pocket the difference. Fabulous!
