I haven't had a chance to use leaf patterns but I have and have used two other sets, circles and hearts. After reading some of other people's reviews, many were disappointed that these templates were flimsy. Some of the reviews were pretty harsh. All I can say is that those who bought these templates with the idea of using them for sewing patterns probably didn't read the entire description. It is clearly stated that these templates are for THE APPLICATION and not for cutting out repetitive shapes for piece quilted bodices or creating quilting patterns to sew together a patchwork "sandwich". They are perfect for the purpose they were created for. If you need a thicker or heavier pattern, you can purchase a plastic quilting template. I like that these molds come in multiple sizes so I don't have to try and scale up the mold if I need larger sheets etc.
