This is the only present my son (6) wanted from Santa. We did our research and were a bit hesitant based on other reviews but figured this would work. The dimensions are completely wrong and this scooter is designed for a child 4-5 years old and under. The handlebar length can be up to 31 inches, which is very short, and the foot space base only fits one foot, so you can't place two feet if you just slide. The lighting is excellent so there are multiple ways in which they glow. The downside is that the button is under the rubber band and isn't aligned, so sometimes it doesn't turn on when you press the button. My son even rode it for 5 minutes and was disappointed with the size and functionality. The battery compartment is too loose and the batteries are displaced, so you have to hit it to turn on the light. Also, no batteries were included. All in all I'm coming back and it would be easier to get a regular scooter and add my own lights and lighted wheels. I feel sorry for my child as it was his "Santa Claus" gift.
