After previously buying another hub, it refused to work with the new Chromecast. I was glad to know that this WORKS with Chromecast with Google TV. It has allowed me to add a webcam (so I can use Google Duo) to video chat with my family during the pandemic. Added USB memory stick for Chromecast storage expansion (so you have room to put 2 or 3 more extra apps on it). Also has an Ethernet connection for a direct internet connection for Chromecast. This works with the power adapter that comes with the Chromecast (but only to power the Chromecast itself). You'll need a larger power adapter to power your Chromecast and your camera, USB drive, etc. at the same time. With the aluminum body, I had no problem dissipating heat from this unit. I would just make sure you have enough airflow around the unit (don't put it in a box).
