My pup grabbed my remote, ripped off the backing and chewed it up. It still worked and it was expensive to replace so I bought it to hide the exposed batteries. It worked well except it was a bit loose which was probably due to the missing backing. Unfortunately I'm an idiot and once again left the remote on the couch and my dog ate its handle. So I ordered another one. The first handle still had most of the bottom portion intact, so I cut it out and stuck it into the second handle, which solved the loosening issue. Last time I hosed everything down with bitter apple spray. Now he has survived being pulled off a TV console twice by a curious puppy. I highly recommend the bitter apple spray. Edit: The bitter apple spray is gone, the dog ate it again.
