How do you cook without one of these? I use mine for anything that needs to be chopped, shredded, diced, or sorted before cooking. This allows me to quickly and easily transfer food from the cutting board to the pan without spilling or messing it up. I even use it when sorting non-food items that need to be portioned or separated from large bins into smaller ones. It slides easily into the dishwasher and is ready to get back to work for the next task. I've had one for years and when it disappeared from my kitchen (someone else "helped") I was miserable without it for weeks. In the end I gave up the search and bought a new one. I'm so glad to have this useful tool in my hands again.
