Updated November 17, 2021 - Back to 5 stars. I was contacted by the support team and had numerous emails back and forth. They explained to me the reason for the reboot and the solution they found to fix the reboot. They released new firmware for the devices and made it available via OTA. Updated my units and reboots stopped. For the tech savvy, it was due to IPv6 and an older API in their firmware being rebooted. The newer firmware fixed this and I was able to get my mini devices up and running again. Updated August 13, 2021. Devices are constantly rebooting, causing connected devices like TVs or lights to turn off and on. I tried tech support. Downgraded to 1 star *Original* - Most of them seem to come with firmware 4.1.11. When you add them to your home, the Apple Home app complains that an update is available (note, icon and all), but the Meross app says there isn't one. It can be annoying though, use my instructions below to fix it and update to 4.1.12. But for that you need to use two iOS devices. Below I use iPhone and iPad for mine. But there's no reason why you can't use two iPhones or two iPads (the Meross app isn't designed to be used on an iPad, but it works). For clarification here what to do: 1- Install the Meross app on iPhone and iPad (unfortunately Meross needs an account to update the firmware) 2- Connect the Smart Plug Minis to the wall one by one (to avoid confusion avoid when select and update) 3- Launch the Meross app on iPhone, click the + in the top right corner of the app to add a device, then scroll down to Smart Plug Mini. 6. After adding, quickly switch to another iOS device (iPad in my case) but the Meross app is already open. 7. Select + on the main screen and it will show that a new device needs to be added. 8- Tap OK and then go back to the Meross app main screen and select Account. A firmware update shows that 9 is available. Apply the firmware and Bob will be your uncle. I hope this helps someone else because this happens too. I really like my Meross forks. They react very quickly.
