I always thought Hunter had good fans. I have installed probably 30-40 fans in apartments and rental houses. This is the first time I encounter this problem! I've installed two in the last year, one from scratch, no problem. The first of them had a noticeable throbbing rumble. I called Hunter twice. The first guy made some suggestions, I tried them and had no effect. The second call resulted in the lady offering to replace the light block(?). I told her I turned off the globe and light so as not to affect the buzz. Disheartened I called Revain and they quickly sent me a new fan and I sent the old one back, thanks Revain. . The new fan solved the problem but didn't eliminate the hum. It's not loud and not overly loud, but it's definitely there. I decided to leave the fan but was disappointed in Hunter. You can imagine how many Hunter fans I will buy in the future.
