Review on VIKINGS Vulcan Safety Swedish Platinum by Melody Kershaw

I like to shave with Vikings Blade Vulcan. This is a beautifully crafted, well balanced razor. The handle is very comfortable to hold, even with wet hands, and in combination with the Astra blades, I find the shave to be very comfortable without cuts or irritation. The starter blades that come with the shaver are marked 'MILD' and may not be suitable for everyone. However, the manufacturer clearly points out that these are knives for beginners. As I said, I use Astra blades and am very happy with the result. I would say the razor is average on the aggressiveness scale. The "Butterfly" blade change mechanism works very well, after assembly the blade has no play. Blade alignment is always perfect and symmetrical, indicating a quality razor. A good travel bag is also an advantage. The company couldn't be better: the owner emailed me to make sure I was happy with the product and offered any help I might need. This razor is a keeper and the way it is made will last for many, many years.
