This is without a doubt a great colander. The design is different from the usual, but one wonders why they aren't all designed like this. It's a little more expensive than others, but OXO makes great, healthy products without the fuss. Pros: - Works well on both large and small items without clogging - The finger holder works great and you get used to it after the first use or two. and wonder why all the other sieves have such an awkward grip. Good for normal shakers and glasses. medium female hands and could see a number of small hands struggling to use that one hand with a large shaker. This is not a disadvantage, although you may need to use two hands (sometimes I do this out of habit and it's easy, just a matter of thought, although normal filters cause the same problem)
