I bought this because my apartment is cooled by a wall mounted air conditioner and my kitchen has a passageway with no door. It gets very hot in the kitchen, especially when cooking, and I didn't want to waste energy/efficiency trying to cool the kitchen. The thing was easy to install and works great. Keeps the microclimate in the kitchen separate from the living room. I really like how magnets work. I figured it would require user interaction to open and close, but that's actually not the case. You simply step inside and the magnets move apart to reveal the cover and as gravity brings them closer together the magnets on either side find each other and close automatically. I purchased the black deco material in the picture separately here at Revine for $10. I just wanted it to look a little better than the plastic wrap covering the door. In the end, as you can see, I knotted them because individual strands got stuck in the door seal. In general very satisfied. 100% recommended.
