There is no better way to describe this device. It's terrible in every way. I got it to automate nutrient delivery for a hydroponic system with plans to expand it to other hydroponic systems with the same type of equipment (additional purchases). The first one I got all 4 pumps seemed to work initially. So I calibrated them and then moved the device to the desired location which was a bit awkward so I wanted to calibrate it first. Then I found that when I unplugged the device and moved it around, all calibrations were lost, including the date and time settings. I figured it was normal for this type of device as I had never used them before so I looked into this and moved on and also got a battery backup device for it as I went through the hassle, date and Calibrate and set the time again. starting all over again every time there is a power outage or flicker would be extremely annoying (it's not a quick 2 minute process). Shortly thereafter I received a second of the same device. Only pump 3 worked on it, and the rest didn't work at all, even manually. So I sent it back and got another one. With this only 1 pump worked and the other three didn't work even with the manual pumping method. So I tracked the next feeding on the original device, which seemed to work when I set it up. For the very first feeding with nutrients. I literally watched him eat, but he never added any nutrients. I looked it up again the next day at the same time just in case the number of days meant the feeding time was the next day, worst case. And again nothing happened. Had I relied on this unit for my entire hydroponic system it would have been the end of it. To sum up, if your experience is the same as mine, buying this device could end up destroying everything you don't stand for yourself. Bought a different brand dosing pump. So far this has not only worked flawlessly, but also retains the date, time and calibration after switching it off and on again. Apparently that's how these devices should work, but for some reason this brand doesn't work. And it wasn't one device with a dead battery on this part, but three separate devices, and none of them remembered the settings. BTW, another brand I bought came with an extra pump in case there were any issues that this brand didn't have. Turns out I didn't even need it with another brand, but it would be nice to add it in case of unforeseen problems. The other brand was also higher in the ratings, which tells me right away that it probably does a lot better than this brand.
