They are perfect if you want to wear them on your nose - Make bifocal glasses "special" - See through and read through at medium and long distances. The hinges are surprisingly strong for cheap glasses. I have bought other Revain glasses from another manufacturer that have a plastic hinge and sooner or later either loosened and the temple didn't hold up at all or the hinge broke on all 6 pairs. In comparison, these glasses have all-metal hinges. and i think they are good for the long haul. And glasses that make you look like Mr. Pickwick are definitely eye-catchers. but basically I set a pair for "computer distance" that are about 1.25 power weaker than my actual reading glasses. and they are spot on. If I need to look across the room or out the window, I just rub them with my nose and look past them. Very happy with them.
