Review on Presto 04213 Electronic Digital Timer by Olusola Reid

This lightweight, simple digital timer works just like other devices in its class. Program the countdown by pressing the minute and second buttons. Reset the timer by pressing the minute and second buttons at the same time. Start the countdown by resetting the timer, then press "Start". This timer is taped to the magnetic board in my home office and I usually use it as a countdown timer while I run. It has a large, readable display that I can see from across the room. The call is loud and clear. The only flaw is that when you use it as a countdown timer, it reaches 99:99, then resets to zero and keeps counting down. I forgot to stop it once or twice and it just kept working for a day or two. Not very suitable for the battery life! Another similar timer stops at 99:99. I don't know if this is a feature or a bug; I think if you need more than 99 minutes that's handy, but you should be aware. I would recommend sticking it in one place and leaving it there - in the fridge or on some other magnetic surface. Experience has shown that such devices broke after a few falls; even if they look intact, some of the contact inside may come loose and it just won't work; I have to throw it away and get a new one. You can even stick it to your fridge or other surface. Unfortunately, unlike other similar timers I've had in the past, it's missing a small hook so you can't securely attach it to the fridge's magnetic hook like I do with other timers. Finally, I would like to mention the incredible price. You basically can't win this deal for less than four dollars. A very inexpensive, handy little gadget that has proven itself well so far.
