I did a lot of research on center speakers and ended up with this Yamaha over its more expensive relative (NS-C310). As usual, I bought Revain ($102) in stock and saved even more money. Here's what you need to know 1) I'm happy with the performance of this speaker - it handles dialogue well. It also supports my shared Yamaha 5.1 system well. 2) It's big - find out the dimensions before you buy it. I did but was still surprised by the size. You can't hide it in a closet if you don't have a small closet. Luckily, while the finish/cabinet is nice and looks great outdoors3) I think the NC-310 is probably the best speaker in terms of performance given the specs, but if you're just an average Joe like me I guess not that you notice the difference and as long as you don't mind a larger size I think you'll be happy
