I started hiking and decided to buy a cheap hydration pack. It served me well during my 16 mile hike up Mount Bald. It was quite comfortable and stable, the hydration bladder worked great and was enough to quickly find what I needed. Overall I am very impressed with the attention to detail. And for the price, this backpack can't be beat. However, I would like to point out a few possible small improvements: - I wish the chest strap could be pulled further than the current straps allow so the load can be shifted higher if my shoulders start to hurt - Extra quick access pocket on the outside for various items - Bladder can be fully opened for cleaning and drying - Improved back ventilation with raised mesh padding - My back is still quite wet after strenuous hikes in the heat Again they are minor and I cannot recommend this bag enough for beginner hikers and on the Look for budget gear options.
