It will work, that's all I can say.
Fan housing was pushed down more than half an inch and rubbed against metal when powered on. I'm mechanically inclined and was able to fix it. After testing and adjusting when installing I found that the size was slightly different (too big) and didn't fit so I had to transfer the new fan to the old metal base plate and now it works fine.
