I replaced a Broan 676 extractor fan. This replacement is much softer and quieter. Installation is simple, pull off the old fan, pry the old fan out with a screwdriver, slide in the new fan (it will snap into place when properly aligned), slide in and replace the cover (not too easy for people with big hands). I liked it so much that I ordered a second fan and replaced it.

It took me 5 minutes to "push" my existing fan assembly against the inside of the metal fan housing with a flat head screwdriver. I then installed my new fan assembly and plugged it into a 120 volt outlet that was already in my existing metal fan case. A cable exchange is not necessary. The fan works great. Very low noise level.
