I sent it back. And here's why: The printer turned out to be the same as most HP printers, high quality and easy to set up. Not so easy, since photo paper is fed in from the back and spit out at the front. Also, things are changing at HP, and while I've never owned one of their laptops, I've remained loyal to the brand. them for their printers since the late 1980s. Their laser printers seem to last forever and I have never given up on them, even after years of service. I give them away or sell them when I no longer need them instead of throwing them away/recycle them. I donated the last one to a local charity because I needed a network printer. (In a family, the number of devices that need to print increases.) The same goes for their inkjet printers and photo printers. They also last forever. However, HP has decided that if they stop making printers, they want to force their customers to "upgrade." In our home/home office we use both Mac Os 10.11.2 El Capitan and Windows 10 on the PC. I could not get drivers for this printer. That's how they got there. You can't update drivers, so you'll have to buy another, more expensive printer to stay up to date. I bought this to upgrade my still running but old Photosmart 7150. This photo printer is great as it can print both 8x10 and the smaller 4x6. . Unfortunately there are neither drivers for this printer nor for the 7150. I'm keeping the Photosmart 7150 as it still works and I have an old PC I built that runs Windows 7. At least I have something that can use it. This computer was in storage and I put it back into service for exactly that reason. Crazy, right? I don't like how HP forced me to upgrade. I also ordered ink for him and they come back too. I order so much from Revain and rarely come back but this was a real disappointment. Lesson learned: never buy a discontinued printer. Save money and try to buy the latest and greatest so it will last the longest. After this experience, I ordered a Polaroid photo printer from Apple. Too bad Revain didn't have them. Another claim made on "modern inkjet printers" by many manufacturers. I have a home office. So I already have a fax machine and two different types of scanners and a laser printer. I only needed an inkjet printer to print photos and just photos. All photo printers on the market seem to be three in one. Although they are relatively cheap, I don't want to buy anything I don't need. Our three-in-one beach house was perfect. It's just useless here. Previously, these 3-in-1 printers weren't very good at faxing/scanning/copying/printing. It's not like that anymore. However, I just want to buy a good old photo printer with no extras. I have a nice networked HP Laserjet printer in my home office. I hope I don't have to update it in the near future! Buyer should be careful when buying inkjet printer of any brand these days.
