We hung a 15 pound wreath on one of these hooks. It feels very secure and has withstood several heavy snowfalls in high winds in Wisconsin. It's still hanging - after all, the decoration is red and silver - great for Valentine's Day. The hook went in very easily with just enough force to feel like it wouldn't come loose. And it didn't come off during a typical Wisconsin winter. A great idea!
