This is definitely not motion detection or night vision as it is a "dummy camera". I had to use 3M tape to hang it up because the inside of my window seal is concrete and I could screw a nail into it. The screws are very short so when trying to tighten them they just fall off. I live in an apartment complex with a bunch of punk kids and untrustworthy people walking around so I put this on my window with a CCTV sticker on my back door, my part of the yard and my car to make people think my things would be sorted out. I looked and had no problem with people fiddling with my stuff. So this obviously works if it's not just a coincidence. but i'm happy with it. I wish it had a solar powered red flashing light (charged during the day) that would flash when lit so people could see it better at night. I have another one for the porch, I'm going to screw it to a small 4x4" 1/4" thick white painted board so it's really screwed down and I bought 3M tape that I'll be using for the backing . boards, or finding a hole punch to drill the plank between my apartment number and the porch light down to the brick so I can leave the porch light on and people can see it, once again I wish it had a flashing light so I have it not done I need to leave the porch light on but I can also buy a motion detection light to hang next to it so they notice the camera when it lights up and I will put a video camera sticker on the top of my door which is glass that no one spoils my landscape and steals from my porch.
