I first bought these socks in a large size and they were too big. I was an adult shoe size 6.5 and a child size 5.5, the heel of the large socks went over my heels and didn't fit. Bought medium sized socks, they fit perfectly. I'm so glad I have a medium and now I don't have to worry about my heel sticking out of the back of my shoes.
