There are several scrubbers that will clean a pan, but this one has at least one feature that sets it apart from the rest. I'll save that for last. I give 5 stars for the fragrance because it doesn't exist. 3 stars for absorbency because (IMHO) it really isn't meant to wipe up big messes. I use it almost exclusively as a dishwashing liquid. The size is large, slightly larger than the palm of your hand. On the one hand, this is a scrubber - not aggressive at all, so it works great on a non-stick pan. The other side is a sponge, and the best part is, yes! - that the sponge does not become hard when drying, like almost all other sponges. It stays soft. I love it! I have a small sponge holder that attaches to the inside of the sink with small suction cups and I always keep it there. Of course I use the cleaning side for pots and pans and to remove stains on the smooth surface of my induction hob that appear after each use. The smooth side is great for plates and bowls (yes, I wash them a bit before putting them in the dishwasher and I even hand wash quite often) and small countertop stains. I put them in the dishwasher to wash with the dishes, but a quick dip in a very mild bleach solution works just as well. There's a lot to be said for a simple little square, but it's one of my all-time favorite pieces. I told my friends about it and used it to store things and got a lot of thanks from the recipients.
