Great pictures but beware of quality issues

I love the pictures in this set. I also like that this set comes boxed for easy storage. I used Ranger Archival Ink to test each stamp. Both stamps have uneven pouring on the "gum" (more like cheap plastic) leaving patchy areas (at the base of the dandelion) where the ink doesn't make contact with the paper, rendering the stamped images incomplete. Additional pressure on the stamps does not give a complete impression. Rubber isn't rubber at all, it's a very thin molded plastic. The pillow is very thin. I've also noticed that with these Chinese rubber stamps, the block often protrudes beyond the wood block at the corners. All of this has me concerned about the durability of the die in general, both in terms of clutch integrity and its ability to give full, sharp punches over the long haul. In terms of quality issues, you get what you pay for. I would even say that you are overpaying. I asked for a replacement to make sure I just received a bad batch. I'll let you know if a replacement works.

Pros
  • stamp and ink pad
Cons
  • not reliable
