If you're not in a hurry to read the reviews, just buy it. It's no small pair of scissors, these things can definitely do some damage. to carve something, it does not disappoint. pierce / prick something? they're a bit blunt at the end, but that's easy to fix (but don't hit anyone, for example? I'm talking more about self-defense). however they do carry some weight, the finger holes are a bit small so keep that in mind.
