I've literally only had these racks for a few days so I can't speak to long-term durability or problems that might arise with time. However, My purpose in buying them was not for a fryer but to use in a round stoneware crockpot. I needed a way to layer hamburgers & still allow grease to drain. (I was bunching foil in the bottom to help grease drain before--it works but is messy and leads to more burnt on gunk in the stoneware pot). I crockpotted my first batch of burgers last night & the racks worked great. The racks don't stack neatly & the weight of the top layer of burgers pressed into the bottom layer of burgers, but it was fine. So I am pleased with the racks & am sure I will find multiple recipes for crockpots in which these racks will serve well.
