These earrings look amazing, that's for sure. They are my style and I love that they are black. That's fine and all, but there are two major issues that make these earrings a dubious buy in my opinion. First, the clasp on these earrings is weak. I have several similar hoop earrings and the clasp is much stronger and they are very flimsy in comparison. The locking mechanism of these earrings feels very flimsy and flimsy when closing and opening. My other earrings have a much stronger clasp that is harder to open. So that in itself was a departure for me. Luckily, since I have several similar hoop earrings with better clasps, I can easily remove the studs and add them to my other earrings. open completely. Photo 1 shows how wide the earrings open and when I first received them I thought maybe the earrings I received were defective. I spent a few minutes opening them before realizing that it was the beads that were preventing the hinge from opening enough to allow the earrings to be attached. It's not too much of a problem when you open them to put them on, but once you put the earrings on and want to take them off you have to manipulate those beads again. But since the earlobe gets in the way, it's more of a hassle to take them off, and I'm saying that as someone with small hands. It may be more difficult for someone with large hands. They can be helpful to you if you are aware of these two emerging issues and don't mind. However, I didn't know and if I had to pay for these earrings I would be very unhappy.
