Review on Blue Whale Thickened Adjustable Ergonomic by Amanda Collins

Very comfortable and well made chair! (Updated: that's good, but not great)

I'm 6ft 2, about 250, and I needed a strong, supportive, high-backed chair with great lumbar support, but I didn't want $500 for it spend. a Steelcase chair or something else high-end. I wouldn't say it's the most comfortable office chair I've ever sat in, but it's certainly one of the most comfortable. The construction is really solid and was impressed when I put it together. The seat cushion is comfortable but firm in a good way, although I'll probably buy one of those gel cushions to soften it up a bit. But I like that there is stable support under me and the pillow doesn't sag. The lumbar support feels great and I doubt it will when I take the pillow out of the box. I have a herniated disc in my lower back and this pillow keeps the pressure right where I need it and I feel great. And the massage aspect was a big surprise and works very well! (Buy a USB extender to make your life easier) My only complaint is that I wish the back of the chair was a few inches higher. I'm 6ft 2" tall and my head barely sticks out of the top of the chair and the neck pillow kinda has to be awkwardly slid out of where it should be just to align it with my neck. It's not a deal breaker for me and I still love this chair. If you are 1.60-1.80m tall, this chair is the perfect size for you. If you are over 6ft 3in tall you will not be happy in this chair. The armrests are barely sufficient for me in the highest position, and I wish they could go a little higher, but I'm still comfortable. The pads themselves are durable rubber that feels great on my forearms and I love the easy adjust/tilt feature. The footrest works well but I'm too tall to sit on it comfortably as the padding ends below my knees. Again, the ideal height for this chair is probably between 5'10 and 6'. All in all, this is a great chair to buy right now for $150 and well worth it, especially if you're a tall person like me who needs support. It is very durable and well built. Looks great and overall very happy. I can't imagine that this chair wouldn't last for many years. (UPDATE) After using this show for almost a couple of months, I have a little regret about buying it. It's not a bad chair, just not the best chair for me/body type. The massage pad stopped working a few weeks ago and it sucks as I really enjoyed it. The chair also got VERY squeaky/noisy when moving and I can't do anything about it. In terms of comfort, it has good support, but if you're a tall person, just look elsewhere. It's also a little too tight for me. The sides of the seat cushion lift and dig into your legs after a while, and my back barely fits between the two bars on the side of my back. This chair is great for a person who is about 5ft 10" tall and about 190lbs. I will be using this chair for a while as of course I can't return it at the moment but will definitely buy another chair at some point. Again, the chair isn't terrible, but over time I understand that it's not worth the money.
