I made a 12ft long, 6ft wide hammock with gathered ends using fabric I bought in rolls from RipStop for hammock camping in the hot weather. I sewed everything myself and am very happy with the quality and comfort of the finished product. I was also on the verge of making my own bug net until I saw this one at Revain. Realizing that I couldn't buy any material because this one was widely sold, I decided to see if it would suit me. This is actually a real 12 foot long hammock net. And it fits perfectly in my hammock. I have two other hammocks with built in bug nets, but in hot weather I rarely need a net except at night. At night, this mosquito net also provides warmth, but not too hot. And because the grille is black, it's easy to see. During a recent three-day stay at Falcon Lake near Rome, Texas, I found that this mosquito net didn't block my view of the stars at night. I only needed the insect screen at night and I'm happy to say it didn't affect my stargazing in the slightest. Needless to say I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this product.
