I use my hands a lot (cooking, baking, sewing, painting, painting, typing, etc.) I have severe carpal tunnel on both wrists. Due to some underlying medical issues that are more common, I am currently unable to have surgery to correct them. My wrists, hands, and forearms will feel excruciating pain at times that won't go away forever. I have quite a few bangles and this is by far the best. Not only does it offer you the possibility of heating, it has 2 hoops that are precisely placed depending on which hand you hold it with. One is in the middle of the wrist and palm and the other is on the back of the other side of the thumb. They keep your wrist, palm and lower thumb joint perfectly still while still allowing movement of your fingers and thumb. The tires fit well into the material and have no way of trying to slide out of it. The material is very comfortable and the Velcro doesn't scratch the skin of the straps. It's just a well-made brace that really helps.
