This basket is VERY easy to put together (I didn't need instructions) Place the flat MDF base in the basket body and then the metal ring on top and press into the supports , then put the lid on. With all the supports in place, it seemed to withstand my poking and poking to test its strength. One reviewer said it's not a good basket because you can't stuff clothes in it with your body weight to make room for more clothes. Well, it goes without saying not to fill it full since it is a cheap basket after all. Pick one that's in the $50-$60+ range if you want to smash your clothes in that badly. This basket seems perfectly suited for people who are not too big, I don't think it would be a good basket for small children but for teenagers and older it should be great.
