Review on Merrell Alternative Closure Waterproof Hiking Boys' Shoes : Outdoor by Vedavyas Fleming

Just received and found the bottom is EVA foam. SOAP! I have worked with EVA foam and while they are lightweight I can't imagine they will last long in an open area. I found another review in REI that their foam soles wear out quickly. Merell, right? EVA FOAM? Oh well. What do you think kids will do with your shoes? Do you wear them all day on the carpet? Step up your game, Merrel. I'll find some Salomons made out of really durable trail material.
