I am very happy with the On The Rocks Clear Cube System! Even after watching a few YouTube videos, it took some trial and error. In my experience, freezing times vary. I'm sure there are many variables like freezing temperature, water temperature etc. If I pour hot water and put a freezer in my garage set to 7 out of 10, I've found it lasts about 36 hours. I don't mind, I bought a small 6 pack cooler with a removable lid and a 2nd (square cube) mold from On the Rocks so I can rotate or freeze them at the same time, although freezer space can be an issue for some people. It takes time to build up a supply of cubes, but you'll be glad you took the time. One thing I constantly struggle with is the form caption. Once I remove the ice cubes from the mold, I let them sit for a few minutes so they're "comfortable" at room temperature and don't break when I pick them up. Use my clean hands to smooth out any imperfections, then I rinse in cold water very quickly, shaking off excess water, then place in a freezer bag and place in the freezer until ready to use. I'm sure there are probably better ways to do this, this is just my experience and what I've found to be successful for myself.
