Description of 🧪 ABN Deluxe Antifreeze and Coolant Tester Hydrometer Tester: Reliable Automotive Tool for Ethylene Glycol Coolant Testing

EFFORTLESSLY TEST YOUR ANTI FREEZE MIXTURE: Antifreeze, also known as coolant, is designed to prevent water from freezing up in cold climates and to prevent your engine from overheating which can cause mechanical breakdowns and engine failure; Avoid these issues by testing your coolant mixture with the ABN Deluxe Car Antifreeze Coolant Test Kit. BUILT TO LAST: Constructed of premium plastic and rubber materials, this antifreeze tester is designed to easily test freezing and boiling temperatures of your coolant to water solutions; The large rubber bulb and 5.5-inch (14 cm) rubber tube makes it easy to suck liquid into the small plastic reservoir; Easy to read stickers allow you to test the solution and provides instructions; Flush out with water after each use for accurate readings. CLEAR TESTER FOR VISUAL INSPECTION: As a bonus, the clear reservoir allows you to inspect the condition of the antifreeze in your vehicle; Easily inspect color and for any rust, sludge, or other sediments. EASY TO READ HYDROMETER SCALE: The clear capsule contains sensitive pointers that measure the freezing and boiling points of the liquid in both Celsius and Fahrenheit; These pointers are easier to read than standard coolant test strips because you do not need to focus on the color or PH balance to understand the freeze and boiling points of your solution; One side of the tester is labeled with freeze point scale while the other side is labeled with boiling point scale. COMPATIBLE WITH ALL ETHYLENE GLYCOL ANITFREEZE: Works with all ethylene glycol coolants including GM Dex-Cool; This tester provides immediate results on the freezing and boiling points of your coolant to water mixture; Use vehicle manual and geological location to decide on the best ratio for your vehicle.

Cheap but works - antifreeze and coolant

Cheap for quality but does the job. I ordered it and shipped it straight to my girlfriend so she could test her antifreeze while she lived in Cleveland. She was able to understand it and get a good read. As far as she said it did the job.

Pros
  • Try for a year
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great little antifreeze and coolant gauge

This gauge appears to accurately read the coolant ratio if the instructions are carefully followed. However, it's quite difficult to clean and the kink in its hose won't go away, although that's not a huge problem. I have used it twice so far and it has given me good results.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • No performance

Cheap and easy to use

This is a great gauge for measuring the quality of your coolant. It's good that you got a result that's good enough for most people like me. Just be sure to fill it to the correct level and give it a few taps in case air bubbles form on the float causing poor readings.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • There are errors

Contradictory statements. We took 4 samples from one car.

Inconsistent readings. 4 samples taken from the same car, got 4 different results. Also the glue holding the bulb in the upper part burst immediately. There is something to consider. After leaving this review the seller gave me a full refund which is great.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Small parts

I have been using this type for many years.

I have been an ASE auto technician for 50 years and have used this antifreeze tester for most of those years. I still have one that I think deserves to be retired, but he's still checking out Sam as this newbie. At this price I can always use a backup. That's why I bought it. I'm sure I won't regret it. That's probably from the last me.

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • No Instructions

Exactly as pictured in Oils & Fluids

Used on a 2012 F-150 with 43,000 miles. I saved nearly $200 on a coolant flush. If your vehicle has driven less miles but has reached the 5 or 6 year coolant replacement deadline, use this tool to check the coolant before changing it. It's probably still good. Mine still had full protection! Thanks to the service department at my local Ford dealership for advising me to do this. These are honest people!

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Damaged

Very cheaply made. Pass this.

Rubber ball so thin that it hardly absorbs any liquid. You have to fiddle with it to make it pump liquid. Who has time for that. It's annoying that whoever made this thing didn't care if it worked or not. Not a professional tool or a decent DIY tool. I have the same one that I have had for thirty years. It recently broke so I removed the lightbulb so the new one would work better. The rubber bulb on my old one was twice as thick and drew out liquid with a very quick positive effect. The tube…

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Hard to say

Works well. Rubber Hose Slightly Short

New to Vehicle Self-Service. Bought to test antifreeze. Even though my antifreeze was at the "max" mark, the rubber hose wasn't long enough to get the liquid. I taped the bottom with duct tape to lengthen it, which worked well enough to soak in some antifreeze to test its quality. Then it seemed to work fine.

Pros
  • JUST CHECK YOUR ANTIFREEZE: Antifreeze, also known as coolant, is designed to prevent water from freezing in cold climates and prevent engine overheating which can lead to mechanical breakdowns and engine damage; Avoid these problems by checking your coolant mixture with the ABN Deluxe Vehicle Coolant Test Kit
Cons
  • Updates

hose too short

Skip this if not using extra hoses. old cars where you can access the radiator itself through the cover. Most modern cars have an expansion tank. The hose is too short to fit in these tanks. The manufacturer has to lengthen it another three inches... but they save about three cents, but they don't. Instead I should return it.

Pros
  • CLEAN VISUAL CHECK: As a bonus, the clear canister lets you check the condition of your car's antifreeze; Just check for paint, rust, sludge or other debris
Cons
  • All OK
