These bottles are great. for storing inert liquids. I bought these to store my homemade smoothie syrups and they look great and seal tightly. They're also fairly resilient to sudden temperature changes based on my testing. They are not designed for any type of fermentation. When searching for fermentation bottles, make sure the title says they are "fermentation grades". Fermentation bottles are actually made of thicker glass that can withstand the appropriate pressure. Also, I would give up trying to find square fermenters. The square shape is inherently weaker and much more likely to fail than the round bottle. Please do not leave negative feedback on a decorative bottle because you are trying to use it for something it is definitely not intended for.
